i'm an investor at a16z crypto where i invest in and work with founders to build the next generation of the internet. i spend most of my time with companies building at the application layer but am fortunate enough to work with founders building across the entire stack.

prior to a16z, i lead crypto investing at maven ventures, a seed-stage consumer software fund. prior to maven, i worked in equities & equity derivatives at Goldman covering US hedge funds.

as a young buck, i studied law & political science at amherst college.

i grew up on the west side of chicago and now live in brooklyn (by way of london and san francisco).

my biggest passions are basketball, music, fashion, food, and running.

i've been a competitive athlete my entire life and recently got into long distance running and racing.

i also love to play the piano, scuba dive, and write.

i write a lot and publish rarely. when i do, it's usually on The Blueprint.

i've been spending nights and weekends building a project that beautifully wraps some of my biggest interests - sports, open source software, and fashion.
